A beautiful doily

For this project I have used 3 strand yarn and 2.25 hook. The dimeter of the finished doily is 19.5 cm

Instructions:

Abbreviations:

Ch   chain

sc     single crochet

dc     double crochet

trc     treble crochet

sl.st.  slip stitch.

4 dc tog. 4 double crochet together stitch

 To start the work make 8 ch and join to the 1^st ch

                                    

                             

Round 1: Make 3 ch and 15 dc s into the ring of 8 ch s. (In16 dcs 3 ch is also included) Join with a sl.st. to the 3^rd ch of the beginning  3 ch.

Round 2: Make 5 ch, (3ch+2ch) and 1 dc to the next dc below. *2ch, 1dc,* repeat from *to*. At the end make 2ch and join with a sl.st. to the 3^rd ch of the beginning 5 chs. (16 ch 2 spaces) 

 Round 3: Ch 3, 3dc tog. in to the ch 2 space *Ch4, 4dc tog.* repeat from * to*. At the end make 4ch and join with a sl.st.to the 3^rd ch of the beginning 3 chs. (Count to see whether there are 16, 4 dc tog. stitches and 16 ch 4 spaces.) Make a sl.st. on to the top of 3dc tog. And another sl.st. into the ch 4 gap.

  Round 3: Ch 3, 3dc tog. in to the ch 2 space *Ch4, 4dc tog.* repeat from * to*. At the end make 4ch and join with a sl.st.to the 3^rd ch of the beginning 3 chs. (Count to see whether there are 16, 4 dc tog. stitches and 16 ch 4 spaces.) Make a sl.st. on to the top of 3dc tog. And another sl.st. into the ch 4 gap.

Round 4:  Make 3ch and 1 dc, 1 trc, 2dc into the ch 4 space. Then 1sc on top of the 4dc tog. *2dc, 1trc, 2dc, 1sc* repeat from * to *

Round 5: Make 6 ch and join to the treble crochet below (at the middle) with a sc.  Then 3ch and 1 trc to the sc below.  *3ch, sc, 3ch, trc,* Repeat from * to * At the end, join with a sl.st.to the 3^rd ch of the beginning 6 chs.

Round 7: 1scto the sme ple, 6ch join to the space of 6 ch below. *6ch, 1sc* Repeat. At the end join to the sc you made at the beginning.

Round 6: Make 1sc to the same place. Make 6 ch and join with an sc into the space of 3ch below. *6ch, sc,* repeat. At the end join with slst to the sc you made at the beginning.

Round 8: 1sc, 6ch join to the space of 6 ch below. *6ch, 1sc* Repeat. After the final sc make 6 ch and join with a sl.st. to the sc you made at the beginning.

Round 9: Make 3ch and make 2 trc to the ch 6 space, ch2, 2trc to the same space. Ch 3, 1sc to the next ch  6 space. *Ch 3, 2trc to the next ch6 space, ch2, 2 trc to the same space. Ch 3, 1sc to the next ch 6 space* * Repeat from * to *At the end join with a sl.st. to the third ch space* * Repeat from * to *At the end join with a sl.st. to the third ch of the beginning 3 chs

Round 10: *Ch 5 sl.st. to the ch 2 space in between 2trcs, below. Ch 3, 1sc to the same space, ch 5, 1sc to the same space, ch 3, 1 sc to the same space. Ch 5 join with a sc to the sc of the previous row below* Repeat from * to *. Now fasten off.
