Tulip garden

crochet kit for beginners
Tulip shawl pattern
Tulip  shawl pattern

This is a very beautiful pattern that shows a tulip garden. You can have 3 sc rows as the ground. You can use light brown for the ground. Then a row of V stitches for the leaves. It should be done in green. Then the flowers. Flowers could be done in purple, yellow, or red. These are the 5 rows you have to repeat until you come to the needed length.. Crocheting by this way you can have a natural tulip garden as your shawl. This is a very easy pattern and you can finish it quickly.

The stitches we are using here are single crochet, V stitch, double crochet, and sets of 5 incomplete double crochets. I will explain how to do the stitch 5 incomplete double crochet.

To practice the tulip stitch, make a row of 10 single crochets and 3 more chains. Then yarn over and insert the hook through the 4th ch from the hook and pull up the yarn. Now you have 3 loops on the hook then grab the yarn and release 2 loops, again insert the hook and grab the yarn and release 2 loops. Repeat this four more times. (Altogether 5 times.) Finally, you should have 6 loops on the hook. Release all the 6 loops together. This is called a tulip stitch.

Then make 2ch and skip 2 ch and make the 2nd tulip.

Instructions: Make a foundation chain (count the chains when you are proceeding) according to the width of your shawl or scarf or the blanket. Then get the nearest value of multiples of 14, by adding some more chains.

Row 1:  Make 1 chain and make 1sc to the 2nd chain from the hook. Then make 1sc into each of the chains of the foundation chain. Turn.

Row 2: Make 1 ch and 1sc to the 1st sc below. Continue by making 1sc to the single crochets of the 1st row. Turn

Row 3: Make 1 ch and 1sc to the sc below. Continue by making 1sc to the single crochets of the 2nd row. Turn

Row 4: Using green colour, (these are the leaves of the flower) make 3ch and skip 1sc, to the next sc 1 dc, chain 1 and 1dc (V stitch)

Then skp 2scs and to the next sc make a "V" stitch. Repeat. At the end skp 1 sc and 1dc to the last sc. Turn.

Row 5: (Use a colour you want to be for flowers) Chain 4 and 1 incomplete 5dcs to the chain 1 space of the V stitch. Chain 2 and 1 incomplete 5dcs to the chain 1 space of the V stitch.

 ‘’ chain 2, 5incomp dcs’’Repeat. After finishing the last V, ch1 and 1dc to the 3rd chain of the previously made 3chains.

End of 5th row

End  of 5th row

Row 6: (Using the colour you use for the row of single crochets at the beginning) Join the yarn to the 3rd chain of the beginning of the 5th row and make 1sc into the 3rd chain. Then make 1 sc to the 4th ch below, 1sc to the middle of the 5 incomplete dc. Then ‘’2scs to the next ch 2 space, 1sc to the middle of the 5 incomplete  dcs.’’  Repeat.

Row 7 and 8: Make 1sc into each of the sc of the row below.
